garrett at pro

My son as got the garrett ace 250 and he loves it . hes found a few coins .he wants to upgrade his detector and as been looking at the garrett at pro or the garrett at pro International .
do you think he should be looking at one of these or do you recomend anything else .
would the at pro give him more depth

Hi

If you get one, go for a new UK version, there can be repaired easier over here. The reason I say new is because some of the old ones can have a falsing issue if held out straight and shook and if you have USA version or whatever it is, you have a hard time of getting it repaired over here.

Of course you will be not doing that when searching, but it can drive you mad if you hit something and starts falsing.

If the coil is bigger you will probably get a bit more depth, but depth also depends on the conditions you search in, dry or wet, wheat or pasture.

I only tried one for a few days and it seems good, I know the Ferret has one and he does really good with his.

Hi i use the Garrett AT Gold and it's a fantastic machine i get good depth out of it and it has never let me down the machine i had before was a Teknetics T2 and i have never regretted the swap to the Garrett.

Thanks for the info,go for a new UK version. can anyone recomend a good shop which sells the uk version at a good price.matt we have been looking at the Garrett AT Gold aswell. is this the same as the at pro or does it have anything extra ?
are there 2 models of the at pro
i.e at pro and the at pro International or is one just a newer model
