It may be a silly question but am i right when i say i am getting false bleeps from some rocks?
Also am i being deceived by sodden areas of sand?
i have dug a few of holes and only found water or rock (or maybe i'm giving up to soon on the hole?)
Rock/water signals??help

You may not be crazy as some rocks can give you a signal. More likely though if you're on a saltwater beach area it sounds like you are getting some falsing and need to turn the sensitivity down when detecting in and around rocks just above the tide line. Having said that I've had a few signals seemingly from inside rocks, only to find coins jammed in tight in crevices. It's amazing how the waves can force objects into the smallest of cracks.

Thanks very much.maybe i'm a little impatient too,the thing is you get a signal in amongst the rocks and you dig then test the signal and its not moved then you dig some more the same happens then you get water in the hole and i get frustrated because i wanna keep going but feel i'm on a loser and give up
....just inexperience i suppose
