Found this today, Acorn shape, about 35mm from top to bottom.

Any ideas please.

Tosh.. Me? Nope I have been know to be wrong but this one comes from a known Medieval Market site, the black death wiped out everyone there and no one lived there till modern times.

I found an acorn finial, that's why I know about the similar items on UKDFD. They have quite a few on there and list them for use on horse harnesses. Will they stand to being put right on this? I like your description better [:)
