For the last couple of seasons, I have been removing broken glass, hypodermic needles, metal tent pegs, barby trays, and sharp pointed pieces of scrap from the beach at Talacre. Last weekend I came across a new hazard........dozens of drawing pins scattered in the sand at the top of the beach where kids would run near the dunes. :(

Each time I find a nasty object, it fills me with dread for the dammage that those things would do to young feet. :((

Last week I met a young Asian couple and they walked up to me bare footed. I showed them some of the glass, nails, and sharps in my bag and the shoes were replaced darned quickly.
AAAAnd DOG poo................oh don't get me started!!!!! :(
