All the coils I know of are waterproof. It's the control boxes that aren't in most cases ! :)

Can anyone familiure with Minelab detectors please explain the difference between Waterproof and Water Resistant coils?
I recently received their new catalogue and it states that the common 9" concentric colis are waterproof and the 10.5" double D coils which come with higher end machines are water resistant.
As a talking point - this was something I posted a while ago.
Still cant understand why the double D coils on the top end machines seem inferior as far as water resistance.
2p or not 2p that is the question
