At last, something worth finding!!!

Post by davebeccles »

After weeks of high depression and muddy hands I have found something!! On Saturday had three hours in a local field and found a variety of bits and pieces and a lovely, complete crenel (?) bell. I also found two other weird bits which I would appreciate some help with but ................... can't get pictures on. Any help!!

My pleasure

OK I've figured out how to post a link to my web album but still can't embed the images into my post.

So the first image is my bell which got me so excited. Do the markings mean anything or is it just decoration?

The second image is heavy and seems to have some red enamelling on. My mate Jimmy thinks it could be shrapnell.

The third image is more modern but is curious none the less.

Thanks for all the help with getting the picture thing sorted

Lovely Crotal Bell, and the markings make it that bit more special. Well done, Dave. B-)
Will I? Won't I? What kind of silly question is that?

Yes, and it dings enough to annoy the dog!!

I'm using it in an assembly at school tomorrow. The theme is "Hidden Opportunities"
