Most beaches are detected most of the time. but each individual will detect on different parts some like the dry sand and some will detect on the wet sand. My beach sees loads of detectors but there is allwayd something tu find. people just walking will drop things. Its a bit like fishing, you have a whole lake to choose but you use your instincts to work out where the fish will be. Sometimes you catch, sometimes you don't.
