Hi Glen.
Chefphones website is working for me but it seemed to take a while for it to completly download starting from the plain grey screen.
Chefphones also sells the Detech large coils here in the auction section.

I know there is one for the XP Goldmaxx but do not think anything is yet available for the Deus.
If your still having problems viewing his website here is his email address. info@chefphones.com I contacted him last week for some information and he was very helpful and quick to reply.

Hi Glenfiddich
Sorry you couldn't get on my site and it's one little problem I will be tackling as if you haven't got a good internet connection it can seem like a lifetime to load.
The bad news is No I'm afraid there are no "after-market" coils made for the Deus and given that there are probably patent issues around the "Why", I doubt that we will be seeing any in the near future. The use of the wi-fi system for coils on the Deus has always been an odd one and any purported advantages of it's use, quickly fade when held up to close scrutiny. But what it does do is lock in users to only buying XP coils and is very sound business sense, the same can be said about Minelab with the newer Xtera's having a chip in the coil that the machine reads, a cynical me would say that this is a direct response to Nel bringing out a Tornado coil a couple of years ago. And of course the new CTX has followed suit with it's coils. :(

Glen mate spend the £350 you wont be dissapointed and you will hardly ever put the old standard one back on (there are some days the smaller coil will better the large). If you not sure then try mine out on the forum dig (try before you buy).

So one "stupid" question..
To be hounest. Standard coil vs Big coil... Do the big coil find you guys more, or do it just search faster and wider.. I personally never considered one, but everyone talk about "Big" like it is a must, and small actually is like - well If you cant afford the big you have to use standard. :-/
