Hi All
Just got my new at pro international so off to one of our field to give it a test
set machine up in pro mode
set off across to were we have found coins from roman to hammered in the past few years
first thing i noticed was the machine was sounding off on the long stubble so turned sens down by one notch was ok after that
after a few bit of lead ect a real good siganal came thro it had a steady number and a sweet sound ,turned out to be first hammered (eddie penny london mint)
searched this area for a couple of hours finding the usual bit and bobs
then another sweet crisp signal steady number and tone second hammered (eddie penny again cantor mint ) searched for another few hours but no more hammered but did find 6 scabby roman coins 1 broken brooch a few georgen coins 1 thimble and the usual junk
in summng up found the detector to give a good signal on coins
meter jumped about a bit on some signals but could cope with that
dug a few iffy siganls just to see what they were all turned out to be iron or rubbish
would give it 7 out of 10 up to now
Going on a iron infested roman site in next week so will see what happens then
A bit about the detectors i also use and me
I have been detecting for around 30 year(but still learning)using many different machine in this time
My main detector is the xp gold maxx which i use most of the time this machine has found some very nice items inculding a gold posy ring gold roman coin and lots of roman silver and bronze coins an artifacts, hammered ,saxon ect
I also have a minelab xterra50 and a laser b1
