I tend to go during term time during the week. You don't see a soul then (and you don't have to get up an some unearthly hour). Just have to book a day's holiday from work

Wow, yes that was a brilliant story.

I don't feel like a plank, but more of a vulture and an embarrassed one at that. I draw the line at going up close to people sitting on the sand, I wouldn't be so bold. Nevertheless, I feel I am being judged and that is just how I feel. Too self concious me! :)

Yeah, the beach is a weird one - I prefer the quiet of a field somewhere if i'm honest.
