Strange Symptoms on AT PRO

Post by Biglewey »

Out today and noticed when putting Pro in pinpoint it seemed that the sensitivity was dropping . whilst I was holding down the button - so that I had to let go and re-press the button. Did a quick check - held coil still pressed PP button and sound and signal readout was dropping as I watched. Carried on but later I noticed it was the other way - press PP button and singnal just got higher and higher !!

I'm think oh no the PP ciruits gone unstable - back to the repair shop!!! ;;z ;;z ;;z ;;z

Well justin case I cleaned the coiland all sorted ::g ::g :D :D .

Couldnt see anything but just wiping with my trusty leather gloves sorted it.

Question - has anyone had this?

Also, just a hint if somebody gets this - here is how to sort it....

All at pros are a bit funny sometimes in pp mode, make sure you are well enough away from the target before you press the button as it can interfere with it, or if the target is near the surface it will blank out.

Just move it away and press it again and it resets.

Sounds ok to me

Cox did that and I know that the AT PRO like the ACE I had before sort of "zeros" itself when you first press the button - but in this case the signal in PP was rising or falling when the coil was stationary - got home and cleaned the coil properly and its seems OK.

Suppose the PRO is like any sensitive instrument - will pick up anything...
