I went out today to try out a Deus that a friend had for sale.
We went to a permission that I have had for a couple of years, when we got there I said "I have always found a coin of some kind here". Famous last words, not a coin to be found; however as we were working our way towards the gate I got a small ding.
I started to dig and the signal became better.
At about 10-12 inches (yes I am old and still use inches) I found a crotal bell, the first whole one I have found. It is about 4.5cm (yes I swap around) and still has its pea.
I have paid the man and am now the proud owner of a Deus.
Today I did it, I now own a Deus

nice one i have made the plunge to, iv used it two times have found it a little hard to use but am slowly getting the hang of it!!
I have not got into the different setups yet but I found the standard programmes ok and soon got the hang of pinpointing but the tones are what I am going to have to practice with to understand what the Deus has seenmalcthefish65 wrote:nice one i have made the plunge to, iv used it two times have found it a little hard to use but am slowly getting the hang of it!!

congrats on buying a great machine and you will have a lot of fun with it, and be able to use it all day without any problems as it is so light . Stick to the preset programs they are awesome and i would imagine that the makers tested this to the max before they released it . My favorite is GM POWER with 11.8 hz it seems to find anything that is there
