3 hour beach sesh.

Went to local beach today ,had a nice 3 hour along a very sunny coast line ::g . Found 6p in money ( carry on working ) :D , a bullet shell , says RG 52, 20MM on end. A part of something copper , got a pattern on and smoth on other side. Cartridge looks like a 20mm anti aircraft casing and the teardrop shaped flat piece of metal is a fishing lure without the body and hooks

Your cartridge, (please note the terminology here. It isn't a 'bullet shell' !), is a 20mm Hispano-suiza round and almost certainly fired by an aircraft, not by a ground based weapon. Cartridges from ground based 20mm weapons, usually Oerlikons, are different to this cartridge. The letters are the manufacturer, Radway Green, in 1952 and the 20mm you can take a guess at yourself ! :D :D :D

You other brass item appears to be part of an large calibre shell nose fuze. What markings has it got on it ?

Have found some markings on side but cant read them all at moment ;;z . will get a magnifying ::g glass
