Given myself a headache

Post by frogy »

Well after xmas im hopefully going to invest in my first metal detector but just dont know what to buy, my budget will be up to £200 and ive read all the reviews for detectors in my budget and my head is buzzing trying to find out the best one, anyone got any recommendations?
Also is there a metal detecting shop/dealer in east anglia which i could visit?.
Thanks.

i would say best one in that range ( new ) would be a ace 250, great starter md, i have one ::g as do many on here. As for shops i aint seen one yet ;;z . if its ya first md ya need to start simple ( ish ) as when the bangs ,pops bells etc go off it will be very confuseing i think. i started with a bounty hunter quicksilver :D , then got the ace , as after nearly 5 months still learning that =)) . will properly upgrade to the at pro next :D :D . good luck in whatever you decide.

If your budget is up to £200 then keep a look out for 2nd hand 250s as some hardly used machines come along with lots of (extras) that would individually push your budget up substantially too, just a thought.
Good luck.

Yes have got my eye on a ace 250, also quite fancy the look of White's Coinmaster Pro, can get either within my budget, not sure which one is best though.

Ive looked for a shop/dealer round here somewhere but cant find one, will have to travel i suppose to speak to someone.
