Well done Nev, you did well with those finds as Bridlington yesterday was a total disaster, far to much sand to find anything. Nice to see some older stuff came up on your beach.

I used to work Filey beach often in the 90's but have only had one trip there since taking up detecting again, my detecting buddy at the time found a Gold sovereign on the beach there, he also found a live grenade as well :-O . Glad you are getting on with the Crossbow OK and yes you do need "Strong Digging Arms"

Hi Nev, I do not have much trouble finding most of the stuff I dig up probably because I only do beaches so had plenty of practice. Do get fooled sometimes though, I have a pro pointer but it usually gets left in it's holster and I forget to use it.

May have a trip over to Filey over the holidays, if you are about I will have to show you how to find coins without a detector. A Filey local who I detected with showed me how many years ago.

I have Mon/Tues off work so gonna try some new beaches. Might give Filey a go tmorro. Absolutely brill finds Nev ,,, well done.

Me thinks the Crossbow Classic may well turn into a cult machine ... certainly it seems to give Decipherable signals and is a deep seeker.

How deep were you digging for the older and heavier stuff?

Regards,

Brian
