Upshot is .... with a re-read of all the advice given on here, I've gone out and LEARNED this machine ( learned it's not and never will be an Etrac, so best forget about that) ........ finds rate is up - lots of Roman and learning the difference between what I call a CLEAN sound, a DIRTY sound and a FIZZY sound ...... I must thank all of you who offered help - I stopped dicking about with the settings, pressed factory restore and haven't got off FAST since then ........ one-step-at-a-time.  Bounty Hunter IV ....
