Humber tomorrow anyone?

Dawn and myself are heading up to the Humber tomorrow and wondered if anyone fancied a meet up.
We are novices so be gentle :)
Will be there at about 8:30 ish.

With the finds I've seen recently I'd love too but it's just a lot too far for me to go. Good luck though ::g

Hi John. The tide will still be very high at 8.30. Ebbs very quickly, but foreshore takes a while to dry out. Best to aim to get there about two hours before Low tide .. 11-12 ish should give you lots of digging time. Low tide is Twoish.

Not sure whether im on the foreshore or doing beach detecting, not been to brid for while so make give there a shot. May change my mind though after getting the Hammy.

John, just under the Humber Bridge are loads of Coin. Mainly decimal but some older stuff too, U need to search further down for the really old stuff.

I live in Grimsby and had day out detecting under the humberbridge got some old Victorianpennys a small badge and lots modern coins dint get owt really old but don't think I detected in the right places tbh think I should been more down the north end

Give Brid a miss Brian, still far to much sand, Most of us locals have been going further North, Filey or Scarborough. stick with the Humber

Weather permitted I will be coming for a days detecting with a friend under the bridge on this coming Wednesday:-)

Good Luck .. Im Back at work :( . You will get alot of modern coinage from under the bridge. Venture further away. Take ur wellies!

Thanks for your advice m8 al be sure to venture down the humber more next time I go as last time I went I was just out for the day with family so was only under and around the bridge area would love to get some older finds:-) the humber will just be a place for a days detecting every now n again for me as will after travel on train so just looking to enjoy a day out doing this gr8 hobby really
