humberbridge detecting

Hi guys notice alot of members are detecting around the humber area av not been out for while now as don't av any land permission in my local Grimsby area with the bridge being a short train ride away me and my friend weather permitted are goin to jump on the train this coming Wednesday for a days detecting under the bridge:-) if any of you local guys are going to be out detecting would be nice to meet up

It always amazes me how many arrange days to go detecting tidal waters and never look at a tide table first

I see that the low tide is at 1.30pm on Wednesday with us traveling up and needing to get train times n stuff we need a day when its low tide early as we would be down for about 10am hopefully one will be soon

Used to live in Swanland a stones throw away from the Humber bridge.. did some metal detecting down there about twenty years ago and found nowt... though North Ferriby foreshore a couple of miles away was good for lead!!! Though think that a good detectorist will find more than that!

Think you are looking at the wrong table. Make sure the correct place, day and month are selected on the tables.

Low Tide 03:30 (0.80m)

High Tide 09:14 (6.40m)

Low Tide 15:30 (0.90m)

High Tide 21:17 (6.70m)

Hi mate, your going to struggle on Wednesday as today is the last real workable tide for a while. Low water is at 2 ish today so Wednesday low water will be about 4 in morning and 6 at night,good luck if yo do go though mate

Hi Andy cheers for the info will keep check on the tide table for any early low tides as will be able to get to the bridge any day around 10am av you been detecting the humber long? As I notice you are also only in your 20s like myself

Low Tide 03:30 (0.80m) = 3.30am

High Tide 09:14 (6.40m) = 9.14am

Low Tide 15:30 (0.90m) = 3.30 pm Just when it is starting to get dark

High Tide 21:17 (6.70m) = 9.17 pm

Or yer sorry your right av got mixed up with that:-( yer its dark for 4pm now plus would be to late for us as we would after be on a train home before 4 as thy don't run late defo giving Wednesday a miss then guys cheers for all your help and hopefully one day in the week after will be a nice early low tide so we can get up detecting

Were not going this Wednesday now Paul as the low tide int while 3 so will be to late with us having early nights it gets dark for about 4 im keeping a eye on the tide table and hopefully at the weekend or into next week we get a nice low early tide so we can go up for good days detecting..when was u thinking of going mate
