A Tale Of Two Rings

Post by fishy »

Braved the elements today.

Safari with Ultimate 13. C/J mode saved into all metal with minimal disc.
Sens set at 17 (got better signals running at 17 where as I would normally run at 19 at the beach).
This is most of what I found discounting trash and cruddy stuff. Searching in wet sand.

Lets start with the rings

Found the first one about 10 inches under then scanned the immediate area and found the second!
Bit disappointed as they are SS. Was hoping for a nice fat gold one today.

I did however find some GOLD.

While digging a target I spotted a small bit of gold. The back off an ear ring.
I ran it under the coil and it did not register.

Next up is this. Chuffed to bits with it, quality not great tho.

Nice eyes only fossil.

Not sure what this was part of? Made of brass.

I found one little lead gun then found another still with a rubber bulb intact! Water pistols
They don’t make them like they used to.

Image

Best two coins of the day, a matching date.

Been to meaning to ask for a while now, what are these? I keep finding them.

Bit of ID required I know but I decided this was the best section to post in as it mainly relates to beach finds that all came from today most of which I know what are what.

Pictures taken under a floodlight so not the best.

By the time I called it a day I looked like a snowman holding a metal detector.
Dedication :D :D :D

Thanks

Thanks ::g

I like to share what I find to show what can be found.
It was a tough day today I was cold from the start.

Before anyone asks.

I dont give the exact location of my finds as I spend a huge amount of time (ask my wife) looking for these areas and dont fancy just giving it all away ;)

When its been found its been found. Put the time and effort in and you will be rewarded ::g

I would go back for another go, those finds look spot on for finding some more Gold. Cant help you with a ID on the brass clip, but i thought they were dumped during the war, finding dozens of them on Filey in areas covered in Bullets and not much else. Good to see areas are still opening up in this weather ::g
