Muskett Balls
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know a reference page on the web in which I can find out from what era my musket ball is?!
I'm pretty sure i've seen on here somewhere before, a link or something which showed according to size and weight of musket ball they could clarify date.
TIA
John

Not certain but muskets were nt made to any perticular caliber so each firearm had an individual mould tool for the closest match

Useful post Mrscott, thanks.
I'm guessing the bullet with the rifling marks on it in Fulltimers picture is American .30 calibre. Found quite a few of those in my time...
Forgot to also mention in the photo. The musket shot with the "tail" means it was never fired? Am I right?
