You would have to be a brave fearless person to do it at night. You never know whats about or whos about. Id never walk down a dark beach alone at night with headphones on. People being mugged/robbed is virtually a daily occurrence in this day and age for one thing ;;z

Best of luck....have done it a few times but no more 8-}

Too many wierdos hang around the dunes drinking etc, bad enough when you can see them during the day but one night I was out and turned around to find four lads like zombies, out of their heads, behind me....they said nothing but followed me for about another 15 minutes. I hadnt heard them with my headphones on but got out of dodge first chance I had sw;

Anyway keep safe and if you can get a buddy to go with you for safety ;)

I understand some people are a bit wary about detecting on a beach at night ,and its understandable, but I aint one of them, or worried about being mugged ,(Id probably do the mugging)if I thought like that I d prob stay in all the time watchin soaps.NO THANKS. ::g however I would nt advise any women or youngsters to go out alone in the dark.

A couple of months ago a photographer was hit over the head and all his camera equipment stolen at Talacre. I aint a killjoy but would still advise detecting with a buddy at night.
