Fast dig at Low tide today

Post by east coast stu »

Darkness when i arrived at the beach this morning, Only a few minutes to low tide, so had to move fast. Gravel has piled on the beach, so headed for low tide mark, lucky to get a small area prolific with signals, but only had a hour and 20 minutes to get them out.was dissapointed not to add to my bling total, as it felt right today, usual coins and scrap, the Brooch looked good in the semi darkness but is junk metal, Nice brass plate for , S. BANN, MANUFACTURER, MACCLESFIELD. And a first for me on the beach a solid copper kettle, Had to take it home for the wife to laugh at! Image Image Image

The beach is unpredictable at the moment Andy, A mate was saying saturday a large area had stripped and he had 20 Silver coins including 3 pre 20 and a gold ring, but today there was gravel piled up. will have a better idea tomorrow, The other lad got a silver ring today, Think he got fed up with the PI's walking all over his Minelab so he turned up today with a brand new Dual Field ::g

having another go in the morning Nev, not certain where yet, as its hard to predict that gravel, was hitting jet black sand at 8 inchs today yet 20 or so foot away it was soft boggy gravel, its not prolific on the gravel but the coins are mixed up with it modern and pre decimal anything from just under the surface to just getable with the PI, The Kettle was shallow mixed up in the gravel. Send Filey lad down for a £1 coin hunt ::g

Nice finds, i went out for a few hours at cleethorpes but it was hard going, only got a couple of sixpences, 2 x Pennies and a Half penny, a few lead weights and £1.30 in spendables, was hoping for better but think the sand is being dumped again so its deeper :(
