Hi All . Anyone on the east coast [norfolk] using a garrett ace 250 on the beach? would like to know what you think in wet and dry sand. I am using a c-scope 3mxi at the moment.

Im with Bainsey on this one, sure both detectors will work fine on dry sand, wet sand is a different beast altogether, CS4PI will detect everything on the wet sand no problem, im sure the 250 would work with sensitivity right down, maybe get 4"-5", dont be fooled by objects detected in wet sand if you miss them on the first dig they sink deeper :(( .... i know lmao ::g

I've in the past tried and succeeded to get non beach detectors working, the goldmaxpower actually worked quite well, but in the end nothing beats a tool made for the job, I purchased the CS4PI and its made a huge difference.

Its like using a rake to sweep the floor. It'll work but it'll also miss stuff. Good advice by anubis by the way

Garrett ace 250 gr8 for land detecting gets 8 inch depth on coins and targets with the bigger coil upgrade can get depths of 10 & 12 inchs on some targets as for beach dry same full sensitivity works perfect just as good as any other detector now on the wet sand you after lower the sensitivity witch will effect the depth but I still digging coins at 6inch and running a good 6 bars sensitivity so thought it worked well and this is using the small standard coil
