Deus on the wet beach

Post by oliver »

Not been out much but took a trip to a local beach and used the deus in a five hour search found 116 coins mostly pre dec with two Vicy threepence silver coins and 19 fishing leads,a lead toy and lots of copper and brass bits.So there you have it the Deus work very well on the wet the settings used were.
Wet beach mode
Disc 4
Senc 80
GB 27
Power setting 1

I had the stock coil on and was digging all the faint two way signals that turned out to be deep small coins like 5np and half np i was very impressed with the finds as there was a guy there using a Sov Gt and he had found in the same time 34 coins and a silver cross.PS the beach had been washed away so there was lots of finds to be had 10 to 15 feet had gone the locals said that they had never seen it like it before was surprised that no rings had been found.I will post some pics of the beach when i go back in the morning.

Yes with a little tweaking the Deus works very well on the beach ::g
Did you not use the beach gb ?
That is something I needed to use to alivate the chattering caused by the salt and keep the depths etc.
Cheers

Hi i set to wet beach mode then GB in man to 27 and run with the sen to 80 to 85 do not bother to pump as i find this of no use on the wet beach.I did up the the power setting to 3 at one point but went back to the one setting as i was getting some chatter. ::g

Here are a few shots of the beach the large seawall the beach used to come to the top the white mark is the beach line as can be seen a massive amount of the beach has been washed away.there were hundreds of coins found by myself and a friend had a gold ring yesterday and more pre dec coins and fishing leads.

That beach looks very inviting with the way the sea has cut that sand away ::g

Can see why you had some good finds from there ::g

Yes Dave it had a good hammering by the sea it was lot deeper a few weeks back the locals said that they had never seen it like that one guy has lived there since before the war and told me about the pill box that was uncovered .The council have been there over the weekend trying to put the beach back but there is not a lot of sand left. There is a small river that runs through the beach and this has changed it's course and is now on the other side this washed a lot of the beach away with all the flooding. There have been,a few land slides in the valley and along the coast here as well so you never know what my turn up on the shore. ::g

Hi was finding 5np at 6 to 8 inches and pound coins 10 to 12 inches sigs on the deep coins can be faint and scratchy but i dig them all and get finds deep. You will notice the lightness right away and it is a shear pleasure to use. ::g
