Southsea Beach - sand bars

Post by fabio961 »

Did a couple of hours at Southsea Beach this morning, unusually for me I went for the Eastney end. Noticed the sea had stripped back some of the shingle to give some lovely sand areas. We always get some, but not this big.

Targetted the sand...loads of finds.

10 coins - 3 x 20p, 1 x 50p, 4 x 5p, 2 x 1p
2 fishing weights
unusual item - looked like a gold ring but think it is a starter cap
bullet

and my favourite..someone's keyring with a volkswagon remote car key and door key. Someone had a long walk home then!

not amazing finds but at this time of you for Southsea, you are lucky if you get 1 coin!

Post is really to tip off the Hampshire boys thinking of hitting the beach...head to where the beach huts are, opposite the coffee bar. down to the shoreline...happy days
