First find was a 5p piece in about 6 inches of wet sand with the Quattro on All Metal with Sensitivity set at 18, other finds included a £1 coin, a 2p and 10p piece, 2 ring pulls and a 5oz lead weight.
Also met a fellow detectorist called Jim down there who was using an AT Pro and a Great Shovel he had manufactured himself from a snow shovel and a length of aluminium tubing ( Great beach Shovel mate ).
I'll not bother with any pics of my finds as you can all put ya hands in ya pockets and see just what £1.17p looks like.
. Just getting out into the fresh air and sunshine was worth the trip for me, and meeting Jim of course. . B-)
