5 Hours near Filey today

Post by east coast stu »

Picked Up Mark/ Findyourown. early today and tryed out a few areas. The sand is coming back onto the beachs , but we hit a couple spots. Steady amounts of coins and bullets, but very little of note, Think i had 25 coins, a Silver sixpence and a Silver earing, Mark will post later. shame really as i really thought the area would throw up some quality today ::g

Think i found 95% of the signals in 2 hours, we hit a band about 25 foot wide where the base clay was shallow, But as you got near the edge it just turned to soft sand with no signals. The other 3 hours were spent trying every possible patch. but hardly any signals now, Had a local digger call round this afternoon who had dug the same beach yesterday, he came home with 10 pence. Think he is going to try Filey North beach tomorrow, but i think thats nearly done now. I am cleaning caravan all mday tomorrow or would have had a go. The caravan sites open here Friday, so the seasonal diggers will start turning up for summer. Theres at least 5 retired people who spend most of the season living on the campsite i work for. They spend a few hours every day beach hunting ::g
