Well I was quite chuffed :) with the Viccy sixpence (1863) I found today with me new Sov Gt.But after seeing what everyone else has been finding and the quantity of finds dr:@ I`m well jealous of some your beaches ;)

If your finding Vicky sixpences, your in the right area Steve, Could all change next week, and our beachs will sand over and yours may strip back. Finds tend to even out over time ::g

Yep,the sands are always shifting.I`m pleased really :) as It was only my third time out on the beach. I lied rl; about the Viccy sixpence..its 1869..one of the ones where the reverse is upside down..

Good on ya steve ::g,Had some good finds 30yr ago under cromer pier,caught crabs too,NO NOT THOSE CRABS :)) if it beeps just keep digging.I'm on a learning curve again with new PI machine in last month .and the "east coast mob "stu n the lads been a great help n mine of info.
Same old MIDAS,Just been resurrected!!

Cheers Midas.I remember reading in treasure hunting years ago about how good it was around the pier at Cromer.Dont think the detecting is that good anymore ;;z.On the plus side its still easy to get crabs at sunny Cromer ;)

Never did well at Cromer, But theres a lot of very good Beachs in North Norfolk, I always did well on Hunstanton in winter ::g
