Filey today....

Post by ribeye »

Hi folks, been out with the usual (rattzz and russ), lovely day the sun was out for a change =P~ =P~
Was keen to get out today after seeing the great finds that as been found over the last week, well done everyone ::g ::g
Managed to find a few bits and bobs today but nothing special, the mans bracelet got my heart racing for a moment but never mind may be next time...
Didn't see many out today, I think there was 3 others out up north end...
My effort for today...

Hi ribeye, nice lot of finds there with a bit of age to them. I like the old charabanc without the wheels nice unusual find that. That bracelet reminds me of a French airman's silver ID bracelet I found a long time ago at Filey dated 1919 , I will have to hunt that one out. Another canon as well now I am getting jealous as it is one of my goals to find one.

I was down at Brid today but only 31 modern coins and a silver and pearl ring that the wife has claimed from an area at the top of the beach which has had a couple of foot of sand taken off.

Hi stu we had to look hard for the cuts in the sand, we did manage to find some up near the swimming pool area where the clay was showing but was driving me nuts with the amounts of small lead and copper nails, need to be careful those nails are like needles, wouldn't like 1 of those in my foot.
Im no expert on filey beach mate this is my first year there and im still learning, today I ventured away from the sea wall.
Happy hunting

Hi ray its nice to ear a few things coming off brid beach I think 31 modern coins isn't too bad considering the last time I went to brid last year, I think I got 2 coins and I couldn't have bought a 10p mix up with it :)) :)) :)) , that was the first beach trip I ever did.
I have noticed a lot of toy cannons coming off filey, this 1 has a small hole in it as if it could be fired if you know what I mean.....
Happy hunting.
