Different shaft for deus large coil.

Post by Kevin E »

Hi All,
I'm after a different shaft to use with my Deus large coil, as it feels a bit sloppy.
I've seen the carbon fibre arrow tip and I would like to know if people have tried this and would like to hear there reviews.
Also the whites MXT upper shaft sounds more logical ::g,
Can I hear people's reviews regarding this and how can I fit my control to it.
Where can I purchase these component parts for this set up.
Cheers all

A few of us did this a couple of years back for the large coil.I still have mine waiting for the delivey of the medium coil.
The parts came from detecnicks.
Whites MXT top and middle scetion and a XP GMP bottom shaft.I also chose to use a GMParmcup.
You will also need a controller mount which Laura will also supply.
I have some images on my main computer if it will help you. ;) Jerry.

Hi Kevin.
If you what some help to find those Carbon tubes in Archery stores, I can help.
It is Very easy to make, the weight only goes up 18 gr, and your lower stem is no more sloppy.
I did the job at a Friends Deus, and he is allso happy with it.

Sorry for the delay the way i connected the controll piece to the handle was easy because the handle had a wooden dowel in it already so i tap the controll piece and dowel and screwed them together then covered it over with jb weld that 2 part putty that turns to stone .and for the big coil set up i had a broken explorer shaft and a whites shaft broken at the bottom so i dremeled the 2 coil rivits off the side and pulled out that piece and slide it to the bottom of the of the explorer shaft check the fit .i ended up glueing mine but i think the wing nut might be enough hth don

Hi Jerry,

I've now got all my components parts :-
- Whites top and middle sections
- Xp bottom section
- Xp control clip

My question is where did you get the black block that is connected to the grip and then the control clip is connected to that ?

Look Forward to your reply.

Kind Regards
Kevin
