Don't waste your petrol driving to Brid, I walk along the front to work most days, and last weeks sandstorms put at least another foot of sand on the beach. My boss has even asked me to work overtime Friday washing caravans to get the sand off them! quite a large area of the south beach is out of bounds at the moment, Salvage crews are trying to cut up and refloat a fishing boat that sank a few weeks ago, And Yorkshire water has heavy equipment laying a new water pipe behind the spa ::g

They are not disturbing the Beach, It, s part of a £20 million pound scheme to improve the water quality, So they have closed of the promenade behind the spa, and got some sort of giant Mole! Sort of Smaller version of what they used on the channel tunnel. Was watching them use it in the Town today, and it just keeps churning out piles of deep grey/blue clay, Which is loaded onto Lorrys and taken away. It's not good for the local shops etc as they have even closed and taken over the towns largest car park. Think it is going to continue right through the summer. I will have to get some pics ::g

Called in at Brid just over a week ago at low tide, got out of the car had a look at the beach then got back in and drove off. I was that focused on looking at the sand levels that I never even noticed the big beached trawler rl; :-O =))

Still cant figure out how it beached Ray. Attempts to pump it out failed so they have been cutting it up. they attempted to attach floatation bags but they punctured. heres a link to the local paper report
