looks like quite a few of us have come across the same detectorist... and i know that all the other 999 tectorists are perfectly brilliant... at least he's going back to spain ... so problem solved
![]() ![]() ![]() happy hunting everyone and some brilliant finds btw.... Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.
Hi all,
I must say while i have been going to Filey i have met some cracking folk both detectorists and locals, also put a lot of faces to names on this forum and not a bad one among them. I have also commented what a good job the council do in keeping Filey in perfect condition for all visiting folk, however, i feel, us as detectorists need to up our game and leave no reason for any complaints against us, so i do back Fileylad's comments and feel we need to take onboard his comments. ![]()
yes rattzzz .. but i think that all this boils down to just the one tectorist from Spain... and if he goes back then we'll have blemishless record. and rightly so because i know that the rest of all comply with the tectorists code 100% ... HH and keep that bling coming!

I think I've met the bloke once on our beach. He said he'd been abroad for a few months and rattled on about finding god knows how many sov's and gold rings on our beach (yawn). That was around a year ago and sounds like the same bloke.
Just back from a night shift on the beach, big tide's at the mo and seemed to take ages to turn and come back in. Xp deus

Just going off topic one of the filey lads mentioned there was alot of dead puffins along the coast. After contacting the bird society in Scotland who I normally report any dead birds with rings to and they just emailed me to say they have had reports also and after looking into it they say around 2500 puffins have been washed up the last month or so due to starvation because of the rough sea's lately.

There's been a lot washed up south of Bridlington. Bempton Cliffs is one of the UK's largest breeding sites, and is located half way between Filey And Bridlington. Couple weeks ago 100s of Lobsters washed up on Bridlington Beach due to rough weather

I missed the Lobsters. heard they had to set up tanks at the harbour , collected them and took them back out to sea. First time I've heard of live lobsters being washed onto the beach ![]() Whites surf pi pro, Compass 77b, Laser Rapier Plus, Garrett Scorpion,
Yes , there is always someone who will spoil things . Although we have all enjoyed reading the East Coast posts over the winter ( Filey Lad , East Coast Stu and all ) . Perhaps it is time to not give as much information in the posts . Unfortunately for us readers ! Also the bit about filling in holes also applies to farmland as well . If only people would take it on board . But some never will .
