What's best for pasture?

Post by Craig »

Been on pasture today, found nothing but silver foil, shotgun cartridges and one roman brooch using gmp, should I have used another programme? If so which one?
I'd rather be detecting!

Gmp is good enough Craig, try it on 12 freq. then select basic 1, drop freq. to 4, use it to check for deep iron when ya get an iffy tone on gmp... sure ya'll get loads of others ..... x;

Craig, I would do air and ground tests to see what happens.

I found a tiny brass button with GMP program the other day.

As I'm new to the Deus, I'v found that when I pin point and then dig, my finds seem to be at the side of the hole rather than in the centre.....so today got out the tiny brass button to practice pin pointing.

Hmm, the air test was ok in program 1 but when I put it on the ground, it would not pick it up?
Then changed to GMP and the ground test was ok. I also tested in fast which was also ok.....say 9 inches.

I have yet to do further tests.....but from todays test in program 1, my detector does not seem to pick up tiny non ferous on the ground whereas it will pick up in the air test, which is strange?
