me and my detecting buddy thought we would jump in the car and do sandbanks beach again
the idea would be to get their about 6pm when the beach would be emptying and detect till 10pm so a nice relaxing drive down and fish and chips for tea before we start
got to the beach for 5 . 30 and still quite busy but enough room without upsetting anyone
there was quite a breeze but still pleasant ....first 5 tagets were bottle tops
all new ...to me thats the downside of beach detecting having to clean up other peoples rubbish ....and so it continued with silver foil / ring pulls etc etc my mate was doing well with a mood ring and lots of coinage ...i was on rubbish cleaning detail
decided to move down onto the wet sand which was a lot cleaner
had a blinding signal and procceeded to dig a paddling pool sized hole looking for the target
eventually it came out and i'm stood there thinking wow thats different ...1974 quarter dollar
i ended up with £3 .99 p and a pouch full of rubbish
my mate did well a mood ring and nearly £12 in coinage so we nearly paid for the parking and the fish and chips
