Deus help, maybe wrong topic place

Post by saxman »

Guys
I have been out and about on pasture and have found that most of the decent finds are just on the fringe of digable. What I mean by this is they just about have a whisper of the edge of sound, deus users will know what I mean. Now I feel I have the right settings but need an expert seasoned deus pro to advise whether there are any tweaks I could do to these to give the fringe signals a little more surety.
I have now updated to the V3 if that's any help. Thank you in advance for this it is very much appreciated.

Settings:
Discrimination 8 expert 2 tones 200 and 791
Sensitivity 90 expert tx power 3
Frequency 11.6
Iron volume 2
Reactivity 3 expert silencer 2
Audio response 5 expert audio overload 0
Notch 00-00

Thanks again

if you lower the reactivity you will get more depth, higher it is the better it works amongst the iron ::g

how deep are your targets ?

Good video, I think the gold setting only finds gold eh. What's your settings for your 'deep' program?

Coolio so descrim and reactivity are scuppering the clarity at depth. Bearing in mind the soil is fairly clear and I'm going very slowly it should suit eh. I'm getting this now even though I've been out a zillion hours eh.
Many thanks

Nice video Fern... One thing I would say! The Reactivity 1 at the V3 is close to Reactivity 2 at the V2.
And as many found out, If you go with disc. 0,0 the Deus just go much deeper.
If you or any deus owner want the max. depht, there is only one way.. Disc. 0,0.
You can try sens.99, Reactivity 0, silencer 0, 4-8-12-18 khz., nothing get the same Big step down as the disc.0,0 The problems is to find and make the tones, to get it useful.

One thing I dont understand about the V3....! If I pump the coil the GB go much more down that it did with my old V2 ( down to 72-78), but If I go Auto... its stay in the old numbers 85-90.
Thats weird. My good friend 15 miles away with different soil, just got the same observation.
Any idea what is happening, and please tell what you will choose.(pump or auto).
( the miniralization streght at the right in the screen, seem to go more up with the low GB adj.)

Hah! Not jealous AT all ... The thing would drive me mad ... Too many things to make you paranoid I reckon!!

Now, a ctx3030 I would be mildly envious lol

Can't do tomorrow but maybe Thursday about 6pm?

you think the ctx is harder to set up than the deus? no way!
lower reactivity and get rid of the discrimination for depth.
