A Sunday Trip To Clacton.

Post by Expat Aussie »

Last Sunday, having noted that the tide would be further out than normal I thought I`d try my luck at Clacton.Weather not very great (rain expected) and blustery SW winds.Arrived to find the beach virtually empty, not much change to the sand.Clacton is picked over pretty thoroughly so I don`t usually go there much, the productive areas where people congregate is quite small and the local detectorists tend to give it a caning.Tide was out and although out a fair way was not exceptionally low - checked under the pier and noticed the usual two detectorists busy there so spent my time mostly near the high tide line.Ended up with 29 coins most of which were clad in various condition but did manage to find two £1 coins that made me feel better :) Had around two and a half hours there some of which was spent sheltering from heavy rain showers, still, under the circumstances the results weren`t too bad.

Well done on your trip to the beach I must try and get out some time to my beach but I am very busy at the moment with a new baby in the house.
