Deus battery
Deus battery
Hi. My mind was made up to upgrade from my goldmaxx to the Deus. But I was at a dig on Sunday ..And a chap I was talking to.to Told me that the battery in the coil only last for 2 years.Then you have to send it away to get it changed.Any Deus users have any experience of this. Also when using the big coil on the Deus.Do you feel that it's out of balance. Just want to be sure before I spend all that money.

Hi, I have not heard of hardly anyone having a battery replaced to date but if your battery does go dead you can actually replace it yourself, there is a video here " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I feel personally Its does not look over complex and something I would feel confident in doing myself.
Regarding the big coil and compared to using the small coil it is a little unbalanced but still a very light setup, there have been a few members who have changed the positioning of the lower shaft to the coil to center it which helps. I was out at a dig the other weekend and was using the Deus and large coils with the Detecting Buddy Harness which worked a treat
B-)
Cheers

easy to replace the battery in the box and backphones if you can use a cross head driver ,then unplug the battery inside and undo the double sided tape .then stick in the new one.and plug in the new battery, obtainable from the bay .mine have been in use 3 years and no probs .
