Hello all ,been having a play on a bit of pasture, what a great detector but there is one thing that lets it down and thats the ur 30 headphones they just wont stay on my head. X(

I read somewhere that the waterproof GG headphone sounds are not so good (read that n not tried them personally), i have the gogs headphones made for the CTX and for me and my hearing they are better than my other headphones (Grey ghosts and sunray pro golds) on the CTX. Got them off fleabay 85 notes and they have the adaptor to screw into the machine so you can use them for wading ect but the headphones themselves are not waterproof.
If its waterproof you really want i read a review that Mals ssurfphones (shown on another forum) are really good sounds but i don't know if they are waterproof or water resistant.
This is my opinion for my hearing so other people may say different.

Cheers,
Gav.

The grey ghosts are better than the minelab/koss waterproof phones.

mals surfphones are much better again (MUCH) but they are splash proof only, not submersible.

Hi

Do the grey ghost NDT's work with the wireless module?

I have Grey Ghosts and they are better than the supplied Koss but don't mute the speaker when plugged direct into the detector. They are fine with the wireless unit. In any case I removed the toggle switch because it kept getting knocked to off position and I also bridged the tip and ring on the headphone socket so now they mute the speaker. I haven't tried the chef yet and I am also told XP back phones work better.

I use a pair of Senheisser in ear back phones. They weren't that cheap, about 35 quid if I remember correctly. There ultra light weight, very comfortable and they block out back ground noise very well.
