Am looking to haul 140 x 5oz fishing weights in the morning!!!
If I achieve this record (please tell me if you have found more in a single session) then Its all down to Baz and his pint of skol...!!!

detecting for fishing weights is how I started out in this game 32 years ago .... good luck!

Good luck. I fish from the back of my house and lose loads of lead weights sometimes I find them a low tide.

When i camped at folkestone i always came back with far more weights than i went down with and without a detector as well

well Baz was on the slip way as I set off on my mission...
he was more intent on a coffee though!!!
Was a half mile trudge up the beach though very luckily realised I had forgotten my spade after 200yds or so!!!
after re-tracing my steps (forgive the pun!!!!!) reunited myself with short-handled spade (that one is for you Rob!!) and set off again...
only to find that the lead mecca did not materialise!!! thats SKOL for you!!! hey ho!!!
although i didnt get to the magic 140!!! i did do 40!!! and one was a gemini!!!
so i cannot claim that this was an apollo landing... but i will admit that I am sick!!
