A Slight Distraction At The Beach.

Post by Expat Aussie »

Was down at the eastern end of the beach and noticed that a yacht had been blown onto the granite breakwater.Don`t know where it came from but the sails were torn and it was listing badly.Looked through my binns and read the name `Emant` Picture shows someone salvaging what they could (possibly the owner).Anyhow, managed to find a few coins around £5 worth plus a 1949 florin that was half exposed on the dry sand presumably dug up by a child with a bucket and spade.Saw a young Lady detectorist on my way back to the car and asked how she got on.She was using a Tesoro without headphones and had found about 30p plus what looked like a U.S. half dollar.
