DEUS PROBLEMS:-(HELP PLS!!!

Post by nottshoardhunter »

Here goes
I left this morning with everything fully charged for a couple of hour's on a local permission. After 20 min's detecting in basic 1 my machine just went awol giving a constant chatter/tone as if there's a fragment of metal stuck to my coil.I checked and wiped my coil and switched it over to g m power and it was ok for another 5 min's then it started on that aswell so I headed home. Ive cleaned the coil and downloaded v2 again at home to no avail and all the technical staff from regton's are at WW rally this weekend and unable to help. Has anybody had anything like this with their machine and is there anything ive missed what could solve my problem :-/ kind regard's liam

Remove the coil cover and give it a good clean, it is totally waterproof and will take a dunking in the sink. ::g ::g

Have you tried it without the control box and just the headphones? and vice versa might elimate one or the other, if it is the same with both might be a dodgy coil? ::g ::g

I had that problem a few months ago, phoned regton and they said to send it back. They had to send it to XP in France to get the 'brain' of the coil replaced, took about 2 months, but regton supply a replacement coil for the meantime ::g
So contact them tomorrow after the WW rally ::g

I don't think any machine has had so many problems as the Deus. Software upgrades, broken this and that. I feel like I'm treading on eggshells with mine just waiting for something to go wrong!!
