It`s An Ill Wind That Blows Nobody Any Good.

Post by Expat Aussie »

Strong Westerly winds here yesterday so I thought a trip to the beach would be in order this morning.Started at Clacton where more sand had been brought in,though the tides at present are higher than normal.Didn`t find much there, just 69p in the usual area so packed up and headed off to the beach that often yields pre-decimals.Here the sand had been taken out in some areas, however the first coin was a £1 so I hoped that would mean more to come, and so it proved.Up near the entrance where some sand had washed away I found 3 pre-decimals,a bent 1967 penny and two sixpences (1945 and 1955).All told,I found £9.61 plus 2 fishing weights, time spent - 5hours which includes travelling between 3 sites.
