I used to use 3 tones on the beach, but about 4 months back I switched to using 'pitch' sound mode instead of tones, and find it a lot better for beach sessions on both wet and dry. I prefer my machine to run silent until going over a decent target so maybe it's not for you, or maybe you already use it, but thought I'd mention it. I'm using v2 by the way so if you're on v3.2 it might be a bit different I'm not sure. Worth a try though.

It's not that bad actually trappa once you get used to the chips and chirps. It's not a quiet ride on our beach and I pushed it hard in the iron infested water logged areas today, just to see how far I could push it and it done quite well. In iron areas it will chatter away but when your sweeping and it finds a signal it will squeal both ways and you can easily identify a target. One thing I did notice is that I had to slow right down to let the machine read the ground properly to pick out the smaller targets. The ground balance read 0 most of the time in wet beach mode and I kept it a few clicks above this. Xp deus
