Any replies here offering a ID will be removed. sad findOne of my regular beaches monday thought Id found a fur coat at first. It was instead a dead baby seal..quite high up the beach and covered in around 1-2 inches of sand..dont think it had been for more than a day or so. I couldnt face tecting any more for the day ...sentimental old me.
Not a big beach,and Ive been there regularly and always seem to come away with at least a fiver,usually in pound coins....they must be being brought in on the tide every other day by looks of it..unless of course someone feels sorry for me and keeps planting them there for me to find  bit of a puzzle really.....Garret 150( probabley the best of the 3)

Another casualty of great mother nature ......what a shame

Euro tek pro 11inch coil The early bird gets the worm , The second mouse GETS the cheese  I find baby porpoises washed up quite often on my beach,i think some are hit by outboard motors,as there is a lot of boat fishing going on,shame really, apparentley there quite curious mammals.
That is sad! I'm such an animal lover I even try to dig around the worms I find!

The Autumn storms are washing up quite a few poor creatures at the moment . I was over on Allonby beach ( west Cumbria ) on saturday , and there was a little seabird just sitting in the sand , looking very sorry for itself . I couldn't bring myself to put it out of it's misery , but later on when I returned to that area of the beach , it had given up the ghost ; i must admit that i shed a few tears .
Goes to show what nice folk we have on hear.
 I would have felt sorry for the little furry seal as well. Hope your next trip brings happier finds  In the Zone with the Garrett carrot!
Yes we sometimes find some sad sights indeed.
Around 'lambing season' in particular, I've seen a few dead lambs including one with it's head torn off by foxes. I have foxes live near me in town and I like them, but farmers are apprehensive of them. The mighty Minelab Etrac !

As for the poor old seal ... dont be sad... its only mother nature doing her work... for every death there is a life... happy hunting
