The only Garrett that was ever any good on the beach was the one I am using in my avatar r;[
That is a very old photo and is me using an AT4 which was my first real detector but it soon gave way to a Pulse Machine.

Hi ChrisinEssex.

I hope your Ace 150 works okay on the wet sand :-/ I have an Ace 250 and did my first beach hunt at Aberavon, South Wales a week or two ago. My Ace 250 did not like it at all ;;z After an hour or so and a £1 coin later I gave up and went home :((

I understand that if you turn the sensitivity right down you might get away with it :-/ But it didn't work for me ;;z

The Garrett is a great machine on land and as it is for me I actually live in Northants and very rarely get to a beach anyway ::g My suggestion is try inland ::g

This is a fabulous hobby - I am totally bitten :))

Happy hunting [:)
