I have done about 400 hrs on the beach this year...
Found £80 decimals ... some 20th century silver coins, 57kg Lead, and junk junk junk

I have done 200 hrs in land this year and found
gold posy ring, ampulla, seal matrix (all 3 in near pristine or good condition), 12th century toy jug, much predecimal coinage, and junk junk junk....

so all in all I would go inland every time ... and as for a dry run... I have um all the time!!!!
Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.
