Got my first beach detecting permission thursday and had my first outing today. The beach is very small and not far from home, but I thought I had to try there first.
After about an hour of detecting my battery juice ran low as I had not charged the batteries for a while, they are on the charger now, so got just a few finds today. Will be going there tomorrow also with spares in my pocket.
Can you say pull tabs? The best find today was a 5 öre coin from 1929.

Hi Pischla, It's good to know that you're not searching with too much discrimination and that if the good finds are about, you'll almost certainly bag them!! Good luck mate.

A disservice is no service at all.
Stay determined and the good finds will start to turn up. A couple of weeks ago I got three separate signals on my EuroAce and they were all exactly the same signal but very different targets...........1= a small, part used, tube of ointment.....2 = a piece of WWII copper shrapnel......3 = a gold signet ring!

Some nice coins ... what country are they from?
Also its sad to note that the UK is not the only place where litter louts have rule of the beach... look forward to some more posts!
