9x12 coil or Pro pointer?

Post by Beany_bot »

Guys im going to splash out on either a 9x12 coil for my ace250 or a pro pointer.

I cant decide though, my head is telling me to get the 9x12 coil as I can live without the pro pointer...

Get the pro pointer you will not regret it as there are plenty of larger coils available second hand later on.A pro pointer is a fantastic time saving device and in my opinion you will need one before a larger coil. :) :) :)

hmm, still unsure, anyone else? I mean, I can live without a pinpointer for now and the 9x12 would give me benefits, but are the benefits as good as a pin pointer? I dont seem to be "missing" one just now.

Get the Pro pointer, it should reduce the time spent chasing things around in the ground, and this means increased opportunities for finding other things. :)
Will I? Won't I? What kind of silly question is that?

I would go with the pointer too cuz if you ever decide to upgrade your detector you 'll still have your pinpointer plus I dont think you would get back what the coil cost you. mind you thats only if you upgrade. If it was me I would go for the pointer 1st then the coil later.

Not got a large coil but I have a pro-pointer it saves you so mich time so you spend more time searching properly rather than grubbing about with handfuls of dirt.

Merry Xmas to everybody

I ended up getting both the PP and the DD coil eventually.
Love the propointer, use it almost every signal!
Didn't get on with the DD coil AT ALL. So I sold it.
It totally changed the machine to something I didn't like.

Considering getting the bigger "normal" 9x12 coil.
As long as it just gives depth and doesn't change the machine too
Much.
