wind last night

Post by rattzzz »

Hi all,
Did the wind move any sand last night off the east coast, or did it do the opposite and bring more in, i couldn't get out this weekend to find out but will be hoping for a go some time this week. :-/

Really strange tides at the moment, Very high last night but just moved the sand piled up at the top of beach, The predicted Low tides have not happened the last 2 days, This morning i came off the beach 40 minutes before Low tide and water was still a foot deep on the harbour steps at Bridlington. Finds wise its just odd modern coins and plenty of Aluminium at the moment,

Was bored so went anyway the tide difference between low and high tide was quite a lot I'd say about 30 metres and managed to find a modern religious ring down at low tide in water with a garret ace 350 which is crap on wet sand and got 6 pound coins a few 2's and a 20 lol the dry sand at top was giving out lots of dings but was all litter.

I actually have formed a hatred for my ace 350 now as the false alarms on beach is ridiculous and with sensitivity down only goes about 3 inch down

the euro ace is not really a good wet sand detector ...yes folk have used and found

Yes in a nutshell all this talk of extra sand isn't too much of a problem I'm a raw novice only been involved in detecting about 2 weeks with a crap euroace and did ok so it is what it is really the ring I found was right down at low tide and coins on dry sand i highly doubt they were dropped this winter probably from summer coins were all about 20 cm down so sand not too deep just wish I had detector that could go deeper at low tide ha.
