Hows the beaches around Southend looking

I'll be near Southend saturday & going to try a bit of beach detecting for the 1st time. Does anyone know if its been striped & where is the best place to go. May be meet for some tips X:) :D Thanks.

I'm not sure mate ... I've read posts that people detect on the beach at old Leigh ( next to the wharf ) all the way to shoebury east beach ::g ( but not near the MOD range :D )

I'm sure someone will help ... Good luck ::g
